jlas internsThe John Lazares Alternative school is proud to once again partner with Mr. Tom Daskalakis at UC West Chester Hospital.  Several of our students accompanied by Mr. Ryan Cook were chosen to participate in the UC West Chester Hospital Internship Program. Students were chosen based on leadership skills, attitude, academic performance and behavior.  This is the third year the John K. Lazares Warren County Alternative has had the privilege of participating in the UC Program.  Our students were mentored by nurses and doctors in several different departments including the Emergency Room, Operating Room, Physical Therapy, Admitting, and patient care. The six students who were chosen were Aaronesha Moon (Middletown), Avery Collins (Waynesville), Adele Schlamersdorf (Springboro), James Ivey (Carlisle), Gage Young (Middletown) and Breanna (Little Miami). The John Lazares Alternative School would like to say a big thank you to the UC West Chester Hospital and Tom Daskalakis for this exciting and unique learning experience for our students.
