Our students and staff of the Warren County Learning Center received the support of many community leaders as they officially celebrated classes moved from the Laura Farrell campus to the new St. Mary Campus. Superintendent Tom Isaacs introduced many guests who attended the ribbon-cutting event. Father Jim Manning offered his congratulations from the congregation of St. Mary of the Assumption, whose members had worshipped at that location for 140 years. Franklin City Manager Sonny Lewis introduced members of the City Council and his staff, and offered a warm welcome to all guests. Mr. Isaacs also introduced Ramesh Malhotra, who is the new owner of the former church building. Mr. Malhotra explained his vision to use the former church facility as a music center.
Mr. Isaacs explained that staff of the Warren County Educational Service Center will use the former parish hall as classrooms to expand the services from the Laura Farrell School campus, and the house that was used for the St. Mary parish offices will be used for a new Adult Connections location that will assists handicapped adults who live in the Franklin area to find jobs.
